Inlet Manifold Refit

After asking on the Rover V8 Facebook groups and as per the MG workshops manual I used a dab of RTV silicone sealant on the corners of the valley gasket and blue hylomar around the waterways of the gasket.

I fitted the end seal bolts and just nipped them down before fitting all the inlet manifold bolts loosely. I tightened the end seal bolts then the inlet manifold bolts in order and to the correct torques. Checking the torques a few minutes later.

One thing I wish I had done prior to this step was to check all the manifold bolt threads in the cylinder head. One was being awkward and had to be cleaned – a bit more tricky with the gasket fitted and not wanting to take it off.
