The same airflow meter is used on many Discovery’s and Range Rovers of the time so long as the part no is the same. Many new replacements are 6 pin whereas the MGRV8s have a 5 pin plug(well mine has) – either are supposed to be compatible but not really sure why the difference. Think I would want like for like 5 pin if I were looking.
Apparently the airflow meter is also the same as on Rover 820 turbo (Mk 1 shape 820) and the six cylinder Jaguar engines.
