Compression Test

I’ve never checked the compression on each engine cylinder since I bought the car so with a bit of time to spare thought I would check it.

Once the airflow meter is removed there is easy access to the plugs on that side of the engine. I also removed fuse no12 to isolate the ecu / ignition system to prevent any damage to the circuits as the plugs will be disconnected.

I took a note of the readings and based on some information printed on the face of my old compression tester the readings seem pretty good as the engine has a running compression ratio of 9.35:1 ……. see below
