Intake Manifold Removal – 2

Well got down to the gasket after removing the inlet manifold. I won’t describe the process other than I followed the workshop manual word for word.

The valley was remarkably clean – I assume down to the regular oil changes by previous owners. I put these pics on Facebook groups to get the opinion of some more experienced people on these engines as to whether the camshaft looks worn. The general concensus was unlikely on such a week cared for engine – but to check one or two of the followers for wear. If they were worn then the camshaft will be worn.
