MG RV8 Engine Numbers

Thought it was about time I checked the engine number that came with the car was the original engine when the car left the factory. Its located on the air filter side of the engine centrally on the engine block just under the exhaust manifold.

The only difference when checking against the table I found on the Internet was the compression ratio in the car – which seems slightly higher than in the table.
