Whilst having front springs and shockers out I noticed the lower ball joint dust cover had split. A cheap replacement but the usual battle to get the thing off the car.
Most likely never been off before the bolts to suspension arms came off after a soaking with release oil. The taper released by applying some pulling tension on it then carefully aiming and whacking the side arm hard with a hammer …. and it springs out.
