MG RV8 – Alternative replacement brake fluid cap – Part 2

Hi! Thanks to your post I ordered a replacement Mini part, since my rubber cap had also perished. I went a little further and dismantled the float so I could maintain the grey cap.

As you probably discovered, the Mini’s rubber cap won’t fit the RV8 (too loose), but the float will pop out with the aid of a spatula or other thin, blunt tool. Photos of my swap attached (I need to get myself a replacement yellow warning label, for which the Mini part also looks correct). Regards. Carl
