I had read somewhere that the reversing light lens on the Landrover Defender is exactly the same as the indicator lens on the MGRV8 – apart from the colour. So I bought 2 used units on ebay for £5 each plus postage which came in a couple of days ….. a big saving on buying new from the usual MG part suppliers.
You need to factor in the cost of a couple of amber coloured bulbs …. another fiver.
Straight forward job to swop the units – just a couple of easy to get at screws on each side.
Not sure whether it improves the appearance of the car …… maybe a more modern looking upgrade but I’ve kept the originals just in case I decide to swop back one day.
