Looking under the wheel arch whilst I had the front end up on the ramps I noticed that the bulb cover did not look too good. After removing it i could see clearly that there were a couple of splits in it which would make it not very water proof of driving in the wet. After some research finding a replacement it soon came apparent that these were no longer available so I had a go at repairing it with strong tape which seemed pretty good.
As a backup in case my repair fails I read on the V8 Register Notes that an alternative dust cover is available on ebay and usable ….. but it needs to be held in place by a large circling.
