Headlight Cowls Removal

I guess normally you would never really need to remove the headlight cowls as you can change the bulbs from under the wings. I needed to adjust some of the gaps between the front panels as one side was slightly wider than the other.

They are relatively easy to remove. There is a screw to remove from under the front on the area shown with dots. Then 2 screws shown circled but then the next thing is important. You must slide the cowls outwards – they may need a nudge – to detach them from their plastic retaining studs.

This then gives access to the screws holding the headlight glass in place and the beam adjusting mechanism.
