Whilst dismantling the front end as per a previous post I could see that the seal around the glass looked pretty poor and only covered half the glass – not making much of a seal …… also there was what looked like a dead bee lying inside the reflector bowl!!
Once the two side brackets are removed the glass comes away quite easy. The new seal is stretched over the headlight glass outer edge. The reflector was carefully cleaned using methylated spirit and then the whole thing put back together.
Not that I use the car ever at night or in rain but all is ready just in case I get caught out.
