MGRV8 Panel Gaps

I’ve been meaning to have a go at adjusting the front panels since I had the car. They were not even,  the bumper gaps on each side were tapered,  the bonnet gap was smiling  and the front valance seemed to be off centre. I’m only talking of a few mm but it bugged me a bit.

Whilst I had the front end up on ramps making an ideal working height to get into all the parts I need to get at so I decided to try to improve things.

After removing the headlamp covers have access to the screws for the valance – the screws fixing the grill is accessed from under the car after removing the air cowl. Once this is removed the bumper bolts are exposed from above and below. All came away quite easily.

After a couple of hours adjusting and trial fitting the panels etc I reckon I got a huge improvement which I am quite pleased with.

I guess a 30 year old car with nearly 50k miles on the clock may well have had a few minor bumps along the way.
