The brakes on the RV8 are not as good as the MGB I have – that’s the handbrake as well. So a good time to replace the front pads in case they have overheated and not performing as they should.
Another wet day so a good excuse to get the disc pads on which only arrived this morning. Pretty impressed with the delivery as I only ordered them the day before from MGOC via ebay.
I paid extra for the fitting kit but I didn’t really need it as the ones fitted were in very good condition. These kits are unique to the MG RV8 so I will hang on to it for the time being.
Easy straight forward job fitting the pads. I also bled the brakes which again is a lot easier with all 4 wheels off and a fair bit of air came out possibly got in when I changed the rear brake cylinders.
