Rubber Rocker Cover Gasket

There’s a lot of discussion on the internet as to whether rubber or Cork is the best to seal the rocker cover on any engine. My thoughts being Land Rover as a car maker moved from cork to rubber on their later V8 engines – I guess for a good reason other than cost being a more expensive option.

As one of the main causes of oil leaks on my engine was from the cork rocker cover gaskets I thought I would give rubber a try.
