
I had got the car on ramps to get ready to bleed the clutch when I noticed that the air bleed nipple was located at the bottom of the slave cylinder! ….. Surely it should be at the top to trap and remove air which would naturally rise to the top. So before I start bleeding I took the slave cylinder off and turned it over so the nipple sits at the top.

I suspect someone had been here before as also the metal shim between the slave cylinder and the casing had not been fitted correctly. I had to remove the shim, straighten it and then refit it. Now to carry on bleeding the clutch.
